I can help students craft persuasive, well-formatted, and professional business communications. I love combing through a piece of writing and tweaking sentences to create a cohesive flow that is enjoyable to read. I believe the most important thing to remember in business writing is to know your audience.

In addition to business writing, I enjoy creative writing that mixes drama and situational humor. I’m a fan of dry comedies and indie films.

    Peer Tutor
    Senior
    Major: English

I specialize in MLA format and am familiar with creative /research based writing. I’ve also taken communications, public speaking, and theater classes that haven’t contributed to my major, but have provided me with confidence and experience in relation to presentation/performative assignments.

I’ve always read literature, but what first inspired me to write of my own accord was encountering internet horror stories (“creepy pastas”) as a teenager. I thought many of them were morbidly interesting but written poorly, and that I could do better (I couldn’t at the time).

I’m bilingual with my second language being Spanish. I learned and studied Spanish in a classroom setting for years to the point where I earned a seal of bi literacy, but my speaking grammar isn’t perfect. I can read, understand, and write in Spanish fluently.
